What is Scrip?

Scrip is
a) gift cards
b) a fundraising tool used by nonprofit organizations
c) free money!
d) All of the above (correct answer)

Use gift cards for your everyday purchases, and retailers give a rebate to your nonprofit organization (COYO). This way, you make money without spending anything extra. Here is an example of how much one family can raise in one year:

How to purchase Scrip:
There are 3 ways:
1) Buy gift cards at COYO/COJS rehearsals. Some cards will be pre-ordered and available to buy at meetings and rehearsals. Pay by cash or check made out to COYO. These pre-ordered cards will be the most popular ones, including:

Safeway, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Cuppa Yo, Target, Dutch Bros, Downtown Dollars, iTunes

Other retailers can be added to this list as needed throughout the year.

2) Order gift cards using order form. You can order from a long list of retailers. To see the complete list, go to, scroll down, and click on the retailer list link in the bottom left corner. A condensed list including more popular scrip cards is on the back of your order form. Pay by cash or check at time of order. Orders can be mailed to the address at bottom of order form.
•Local scrip, such as Goody’s, Cuppa Yo, Dutch Bros, or Downtown Dollars, is available.
